We're proud of what we achieve at Handel House, but don't just take our word for it. Here is what some of our parents have said about us.
‘Handel House is a lovely school and is going from strength to strength every day. It makes our day to see our children so happy when we pick them up after school. Small class sizes ensure excellent involvement between teacher and student. Every year children are not only achieving high standards academically but school also provides a thoroughly nurturing environment, shaping children into well rounded individuals. We would highly recommend this school to anyone.’
‘As a parent, I have been part of the Handel House community for nearly 13 years. I have 3 children who have very different personalities and abilities and all 3 have been, and continue to be, extremely happy here. Handel House provides a 'family' environment for pupils in which my children have thrived academically and personally. In particular, with my daughter, she has discovered a genuine love of learning and as a parent this is such a pleasure to see.
The school encourages respect for others and themselves which i feel is represented in the confidence and kindness displayed by all the children.’
‘Starting the children at Handel House is definitely one of the best decisions that we have ever made. From the way they run through the gate in the morning to the way they chatter all the way home at night, it is evident that they love their time there. Their days are full of happiness, new adventures and wonderful opportunities. Through play and dance and craft and sport each individual is able to grow and develop in a nurturing, supportive environment. It really does offer them a perfect childhood. In nursery under the careful guidance and unending patience of Mrs Smith and Mrs Tooke they have, quite simply, flourished. We cannot wait to see what the next seven years bring. Quite simply, in the words of the twins themselves, “We love Handel House!”
'Our son came to Handel House School after being bullied in his state school and lost confidence and self esteem. Handel House has been a revelation for him; his confidence is back and academic skills have improved immensely. The small class sizes and family like ethos create a wonderful learning environment. Our son really enjoys his sports and Handel House has managed to introduce a diverse sports curriculum to complement their academic studies. The staff is always available and never makes you feel like you are taking up their precious time. Even through lockdown, with online learning, the family feel and nurturing ambience still prevailed.
Joining Handel House was the best decision we ever made for our son and he is thriving as a result.
We cannot speak more highly or have any greater respect for the Headteacher and his team.'
'I honestly love the school uniform; it is very smart and the children are always complimented on it when seen out and about in it. The kilt, blazer, white shirt and tie are something to wear with pride as they are so smart. This shows the standard to which Handel House portrays itself in the community. I would definitely recommend anyone to go for a visit to see and get a feel for the place as we did. It is a small, friendly school within a lovely Victorian building which doesn’t resemble your typical school. The school itself has been here for many, many years and is well known in the community. I like this as you get to know everyone from all the teachers and parents to the children. All the children play together and know each other from EYFS to Yr 6; that’s definitely a good thing. We chose this school mainly because of the small classes, we felt this way it’s more a one to one teaching so the children would benefit more than in a larger class.
We were also looking for somewhere where the pass rate for secondary school was high and this school has certainly not disappointed us.'
